This page will explain how the competition measures hair.
We will walk you through the process.

Hair length
Hair length will be measured from the front hairline, to the bottom of the longest grouped tip of hair. This technique will eliminate any user error when measuring hair length. The measurement will be recorded in centimeters
The posture must be standing straight up with their head slightly tilted up. This is to prevent the hair from being inaccurately shortened/lengthend due to body contour.
Short hair is defined as anything above the shoulders
Medium hair is down to the bottom ribs
Long hair is anything from lower back and below
Rapunzel title is reserve for those who have hair down to their hands or past where their legs meet with the body.

Hair texture
All natural hair textures will be allowed to compete, from curly to wavy to straight. At the time of measuring, the end of the hair may pulled straight until it reaches its maximum length. Alternatively hair can be straightened before measuring.
This will ensure people of all hair backgrounds are not disadvantaged

Thickness
Hair thickness will be measured by gathering up all of the hair in a high ponytail. This technique will ensure all strands are included.
The circumference of the ponytail at the highest point will be recorded in centimeters for the result.

Proportions
Proportional length will be the length of the hair in centimeters over the length of the individual.
If the person's hair is longer than their body, a box will be given for them to stand on until their hair is straight at full length.
